Research + Outreach
The College of Architecture and Design is involved in numerous research and outreach efforts working to improve the state, region and country -- from helping lower income families find basic necessity of shelter to helping transform the country's housing future. Centers
The college has three established Research and Outreach Centers: The Institute for Smart Structures (ISS), the Nashville Civic Design Center (NCDC) and Urban Program in Sustainable Design Education (UPSIDE).
Projects
From building an "off the grid" solar-powered house to improving one of Tennessee's state parks, the college's faculty and students are involved in a number of building projects across the state and region.
Scholarship
The college's faculty have published numerous books, chapters and articles on a range of architecture, design and landscape architecture topics.
